Role Overview
The Security Supervisor oversees the CARES department’s safety and security operations during an assigned shift and supervision of Community Safety Officers. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining a secure environment for all members of the Barnard College community.
Your Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of Community Safety Officers
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures
- Respond to emergency situations, including medical emergencies and security incidents
- Monitor surveillance systems and maintain logs as required
- Conduct routine patrols of campus facilities and grounds
- Maintain a professional demeanor and enforce policies consistently
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in security or law enforcement
- Knowledgeable in emergency response procedures and first aid
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Certification in CPR/First Aid a plus
