Join the City of Covington's Public Works team for a full-time seasonal Laborer position in Park Hills, Kenton County. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to essential municipal infrastructure, maintenance, and community improvements throughout the city.
About the Role
This full-time seasonal position runs from approximately April 2026 through December 2026, with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. You'll be based at our Public Works facility at 1730 Russell Street, working on projects that maintain and improve Covington's streets, grounds, and public spaces.
What You'll Do
- Perform street and grounds maintenance, including debris removal and cleanup operations
- Assist with landscaping, vegetation management, and seasonal upkeep
- Support infrastructure maintenance and repair work under supervisor direction
- Operate hand tools and basic equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain clean, organized work sites and follow all safety standards
- Complete additional tasks as directed by Public Works supervisors

- Physical capability to perform manual labor outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and work reliably as part of a team
- Strong attendance and dependable work ethic
- Basic competency with hand tools and equipment
