Seasonal Laboratory Technician – Yakima

Yakima Chief Hops is hiring a Seasonal Laboratory Technician in West Side, Yakima County — a hands-on, full-time role for detail-driven people who want to support quality in one of the hop industry's most respected names.

About the Role

As a Seasonal Laboratory Technician with Yakima Chief Hops, you will join the Quality department and work directly under the Laboratory Manager. This is a non-exempt, hourly position based on-site in West Side, Yakima County, supporting the testing and quality processes that keep our products consistent and dependable throughout the busy season.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine laboratory testing and sample handling in support of the Quality team.
• Record results accurately and maintain organized, reliable documentation.
• Manage several tasks at once while keeping a sharp eye on detail and precision.
• Communicate clearly with co-workers, supervisors, and other departments.
• Follow established laboratory procedures and report to the Laboratory Manager.

Qualifications

• A BA/BS in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field is preferred but not required; equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.
• Strong communication skills, both with team members and across the organization.
• A genuinely detail-oriented mindset and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, seasonal laboratory environment.
