The Opportunity

At Sur La Table, with over 58 stores and the largest avocational cooking program in the US, you'll join a team dedicated to rolling up our sleeves and creating happiness through cooking and sharing good food. As a Seasonal Kitchen Assistant, your role is pivotal in inspiring customers throughout their culinary journey. You will support chefs, engage guests, and ensure a clean, well-organized kitchen environment.

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Maintain expertise by staying current on products, actively engaging in available training, and independently seeking out additional resources.
• Ensure exceptional customer experience by leading a guest-focused, Guest Obsessed culture in both the kitchen and retail sales floor.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Support chefs with class execution that drives repeat visits. Assist in setting up and breaking down classes, ensuring all equipment is ready for use. Engage guests by providing information on products and services, and assist in creating a welcoming atmosphere.

• Help set up and break down kitchen areas as needed during class operations.
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized at all times to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who have a passion for cooking, hospitality, and teamwork. You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent communication skills. A background in culinary arts or related field is preferred but not required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Culinary arts experience (preferred)
