Position Summary

As a School Social Worker with Clay County School District, you will provide essential social and emotional support to help students overcome barriers to learning and thrive academically. Core Duties

• Assess student social, emotional, and behavioral needs through direct engagement, family interviews, and school observations
• Develop and execute individualized intervention and support plans targeting student success and resilience
• Deliver individual and group counseling services addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and support staff to integrate mental health services into daily school operations
• Facilitate connections between families and community-based resources and services
• Participate in student assistance teams, IEP meetings, and comprehensive school planning initiatives

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
• Valid Florida License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSW-I), or current eligibility for a Florida Educator's Certificate with social work certification
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse student, family, and staff populations
• Strong knowledge of social work assessment, intervention, and ethical practice standards
• Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and professional boundaries
