About the Role

As a School Crossing Guard in Shorewood, you'll be the trusted authority helping students navigate busy streets safely on their way to and from school. Working in partnership with Shorewood schools and local traffic management, you'll directly contribute to student well-being and community safety every day.

What You'll Do

• Manage pedestrian traffic flow at assigned crossing locations in Shorewood
• Direct vehicle and student movement with clear, confident signals and communication
• Remain alert and vigilant in all weather conditions and traffic scenarios
• Build trust with students while enforcing crossing safety standards
• Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or traffic incidents to school administration
• Maintain professional appearance and consistent, reliable presence

Schedule & Compensation

This part-time role operates Monday through Friday on school days only. Before-school and after-school shifts are available, with the option to work one or both shifts each day. Compensation is $19.50 per hour. Working both shifts daily (approximately 2 hours total) earns $39.00 per day.
