As a Sales Associate at Dollar General, you'll be the face of our store, helping customers find what they need while keeping our shelves stocked and our store running smoothly. What You'll Do
- Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle payments with precision
- Stock shelves with merchandise, ensuring products are organized, priced correctly, and easy for customers to find
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions about products and store policies, and provide helpful recommendations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment throughout your shift
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving and processing new shipments
- Support opening and closing procedures as assigned
- Contribute to loss prevention by following company protocols and staying alert to store security
- Work collaboratively with your team to meet daily sales and operational goals
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
- Strong math and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a customer-first attitude
- Willingness to learn new systems and take on varied responsibilities
