Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Safety, Health and Environment Advisor to join our team on an initial fixed-term contract until April 2027. Partnering with one of our Hardware Group businesses across South Australia, this role will play a key part in supporting and strengthening its safety journey within Metcash.
Your Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures on-site.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff to enhance their safety awareness and skills.
- Participate in incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including management, employees, and external agencies, to foster a safe working environment.
What We're Looking For
- A degree or relevant qualification in safety, health, or environmental management.
- Proven experience as a Safety, Health, and Environment Advisor or similar role within the retail sector.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
