About the Role
Birmingham Mind is seeking a dedicated Residential Deputy Manager to join our team in Hockley. This role will be crucial in supporting individuals with mental health needs within our residential service. The successful candidate will work closely with the Residential Manager and other staff members to ensure that all residents receive high-quality care, support, and guidance.
Your Responsibilities
- Supporting residents in their daily activities and ensuring their wellbeing is prioritized.
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of therapeutic activities and group sessions.
- Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all residents.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to address the holistic needs of residents.
- Documenting resident progress and maintaining accurate records.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a mental health setting, preferably within a residential care environment.
- A strong understanding of mental health issues and the ability to provide empathetic support.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents and colleagues.
- First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain one within 3 months of employment.
