Research Technologist

Mass General Brigham is hiring a Research Technologist to support innovative clinical research and scientific discovery across our US healthcare system. This is a full-time position where you'll contribute directly to our mission of advancing patient care through evidence-based medicine and breakthrough research.

Position Summary

As a Research Technologist at Mass General Brigham, you'll serve as an essential member of our research teams, providing technical expertise and operational support to clinical trials, laboratory studies, and translational research initiatives. This role bridges clinical operations with scientific investigation, helping our researchers translate discoveries into improved patient outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of safety and protocol compliance.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist research scientists and clinicians in executing study protocols and managing research projects
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory and technical equipment according to established procedures
• Prepare, organize, and store research materials, samples, and documentation
• Collect data, record observations, and maintain accurate research records
• Ensure compliance with institutional research standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols
• Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate equipment maintenance or repairs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams including physicians, nurses, and data analysts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (associate degree in a technical or science field preferred)
• Prior experience in a laboratory, clinical, or technical environment (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to follow detailed protocols and maintain meticulous records
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in team settings
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in technical work
• Ability to learn new equipment and technologies quickly
