Mass General Brigham seeks an Inventory Controller II for our Boston, Suffolk County operations at The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. In this full-time role, you'll manage critical inventory systems and supply chain operations that directly support our commitment to exceptional patient care.

About the Role

As Inventory Controller II, you'll oversee inventory tracking, reconciliation, and procurement processes across hospital departments. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient resource allocation.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts, documenting discrepancies and implementing corrective actions
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels across assigned departments, coordinating with purchasing and supply chain teams
  • Reconcile inventory records with financial and operational systems to ensure data accuracy
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances, shortages, and surplus items
  • Generate reports on inventory status, usage trends, and cost analysis for department leadership
  • Support the implementation and improvement of inventory management policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to understand departmental supply needs and optimize inventory allocation

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in supply chain, business, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of inventory management, supply chain, or hospital materials management experience
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively with clinical and non-clinical teams
  • Commitment to accuracy, compliance, and continuous process improvement
