About the Role

As a Research Fellow in Medical Device Toxicology at our Topeka headquarters, you'll design, execute, and analyze toxicology studies that ensure our medical devices meet the highest safety standards. Your work will directly impact product development cycles and regulatory submissions, bridging laboratory science and real-world patient safety. This is a full-time position for a research scientist ready to contribute to innovation in eye care.

What You'll Do

• Develop and conduct toxicology testing protocols for medical device materials and formulations
• Analyze toxicology data and interpret results against regulatory benchmarks and industry standards
• Prepare comprehensive toxicology reports and regulatory documentation for FDA submissions
• Collaborate with product development, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs teams
• Stay current with toxicology testing methods, regulatory guidance, and industry best practices
• Support the evaluation of new materials and manufacturing processes for biocompatibility and safety

What We're Looking For

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in toxicology, pharmacology, biochemistry, or closely related field
• Experience with toxicology testing methodologies and biocompatibility assessment
• Knowledge of FDA regulations and medical device regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented approach to data interpretation and documentation
