Hartford Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN, GN) to join our neurosurgery team in Plymouth, Connecticut. This full-time nursing position welcomes both experienced RNs and recent graduate nurses interested in specializing in neurosurgical care.

What You'll Do

• Deliver comprehensive pre-operative assessment and preparation for neurosurgery patients
• Monitor neurological status and vital signs throughout patient recovery
• Administer medications and implement surgical care protocols under physician direction
• Assist surgical teams in the operating room with positioning and instrumentation
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery timelines, and post-discharge care
• Coordinate care across nursing, medical, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient experiences
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure strict compliance with healthcare standards

What We're Looking For

• Current Connecticut RN or GN license in good standing
• Strong clinical reasoning and patient assessment skills
