About the Role

This part‑time night shift role provides direct medical‑surgical nursing care at the Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford facility serving the Murfreesboro, TN community. You will join a collaborative team focused on delivering safe, compassionate care while supporting the organization’s mission of service and growth.

What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs throughout the shift
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments according to physician orders
• Develop and update individualized care plans in coordination with the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families on discharge planning, medication management, and self‑care
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
• Participate in unit‑based quality improvement initiatives and staff education
• Uphold infection control protocols and promote a safe environment for patients and colleagues

What We're Looking For

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Tennessee
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred
• BSN or associate degree in nursing with a commitment to ongoing professional development
• Previous experience in a medical‑surgical setting is advantageous
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and ability to work autonomously
• Flexibility to work rotating night shifts on a part‑time schedule
• Demonstrated commitment to patient‑centered care and team collaboration
