Registered Nurse ICU Float

Join Ascension as a Registered Nurse on our ICU Float team at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Shorewood, Milwaukee County. We're seeking a full-time RN to provide compassionate, skilled nursing care in our intensive care unit, rotating on night shifts as part of our flexible staffing model.

About the Role

As an ICU Float Registered Nurse, you'll work nights in Columbia St. Mary's intensive care unit, delivering direct patient care to critically ill individuals across the facility. This full-time position offers schedule flexibility through our PRN staffing approach, allowing you to balance professional growth with personal priorities.

What You'll Do

• Deliver direct clinical care to critically ill patients in the intensive care setting
• Monitor vital signs, interpret clinical data, and respond to rapid changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary ICU teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists
• Manage complex medication administration, IV therapies, and advanced nursing interventions
• Communicate clearly with patients and families during high-stress situations
• Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed clinical records
• Adapt to different ICU settings and patient populations as a float team member

What We're Looking For

• Current Wisconsin RN licensure in good standing
• BScN or ADN from an accredited nursing program
• Prior intensive care nursing experience (preferred)
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
• Flexibility to adapt to night shift and float assignments
