About the Role
As a Registered Nurse on our General Medicine unit, you'll deliver compassionate patient care, manage clinical assessments, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Working day shift at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay, you'll support positive health outcomes while upholding our commitment to service, growth, care, and connection.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct nursing care to General Medicine patients, including physical assessments, vital sign monitoring, and patient education
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established clinical protocols
- Monitor patient condition and clinical status, communicating effectively with the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive nursing documentation and medical records
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and team members to coordinate integrated patient care
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care management
- Assist with clinical procedures and maintain patient comfort and safety
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols in the clinical environment
What We're Looking For
- Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Compassion, patience, and dedication to patient-centered care
