About This Position

This is a permanent full-time position based in Perth CBD. As a Recreation Activities Officer, you will develop, implement, and facilitate recreation programs and activities that provide maximum opportunities for young people to participate and use Centre facilities. Your role involves catering to a wide range of interests and different cohorts of young people.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing recreational programs tailored to various age groups and interests
• Facilitating activities that promote participation and engagement among young people
• Managing Centre facilities to ensure they are utilized effectively for recreation purposes
• Evaluating the effectiveness of programs and making necessary adjustments
• Maintaining records and documentation related to programs and activities

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing recreational programs for young people
• A strong understanding of youth development and recreation principles
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse groups of young people
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license (due to potential need for travel)
