Quality Technician (rotating shifts)

About the Role

As a Quality Technician on rotating shifts, you'll play a critical role in our manufacturing operations by inspecting products, conducting quality tests, and documenting results to maintain our high standards. Your work directly impacts the reliability and performance of 3M products that customers depend on worldwide. You'll operate quality control equipment, analyze test data, and flag any deviations that need immediate attention to keep our production line running smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Perform visual and mechanical inspections of manufactured products against established quality specifications
• Conduct functional and performance tests using calibrated equipment and industry-standard protocols
• Record and analyze quality data, identifying trends and potential process improvements
• Prepare detailed reports documenting test results, defects, and corrective actions taken
• Follow all safety, regulatory, and quality procedures to maintain a compliant work environment
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement solutions
• Maintain accurate documentation and organized records of all testing activities

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in quality testing
• Basic math and measurement skills, with ability to read technical specifications and blueprints
• Reliable transportation to the Cottage Grove location
• Willingness to learn quality control equipment and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
