Quality Area Manager – Food Manufacturing – Base Salary to 100k/year

AllSearch Professional Staffing is recruiting a Quality Area Manager to oversee quality operations for a century-old food manufacturing facility in Knoxville, Tennessee. This full-time position is available immediately with multiple openings on second shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) and third shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM), with a competitive base salary to $100,000 annually.

About the Role

As Quality Area Manager, you'll lead the quality assurance function for a major production facility, ensuring that every product meets rigorous food safety and quality standards. You'll report directly to senior operations leadership and work alongside production teams, maintenance staff, and administrative personnel to maintain the highest standards of food safety compliance.

What You'll Do

• Oversee day-to-day quality control operations across assigned production areas
• Conduct routine inspections and testing to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards
• Lead the quality team in implementing corrective and preventive actions when issues are identified
• Manage documentation, record-keeping, and regulatory reporting for FDA and other compliance requirements
• Mentor and supervise quality assurance technicians and production support staff
• Collaborate with production management to identify and resolve root causes of quality deviations
• Stay current with evolving food safety regulations and industry best practices

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in quality management or quality assurance in food manufacturing or a regulated food production environment
• Familiarity with food safety systems, HACCP principles, and relevant FDA regulations
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to train and develop direct reports
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
• Solid understanding of statistical process control, documentation systems, and compliance best practices
• Ability to work assigned shifts and maintain consistent availability on second or third shift operations
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in food science, quality management, or related field preferred
