About the Role

As Principal Analyst – Senior Pricer at Maximus, you'll be the quantitative architect behind competitive bid strategies. You'll analyze market conditions, competitor positioning, and customer needs to develop price-to-win estimates that balance margin objectives with capture success. This role sits at the heart of our proposal and capture function, where your pricing insights directly influence bid decisions on large, strategically important opportunities.

What You'll Do

• Conduct competitive cost analysis and develop price-to-win estimates for strategic proposal efforts
• Design and lead scoring sensitivity analyses to understand proposal win probability under different pricing scenarios
• Develop competitive pricing strategies aligned with capture team objectives and customer expectations
• Project competitor behaviors, pricing patterns, and likely responses to proposals
• Identify pricing risks and mitigation opportunities throughout the proposal lifecycle
• Interpret solicitation documents, RFPs, and customer requirements to inform pricing approaches
• Partner with capture managers, program leadership, and subject matter experts to translate business strategy into pricing decisions

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in competitive pricing analysis, cost estimation, or proposal support for complex contracts
• Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and scenario planning
• Deep understanding of competitive bidding dynamics, win strategy, and customer decision-making
• Excellent communication skills to translate pricing analysis into clear recommendations for leadership
• Experience with government contracts, defense industry, or federal procurement a plus
