Maximus is hiring a Graphic Designer - Multi-Media Specialist in Louisville, Jefferson County. This is a full-time, on-site position where you'll design compelling visual communications for diverse audiences.
About the Role
As a Graphic Designer - Multi-Media Specialist at Maximus, you'll bridge creative vision with technical execution. You'll partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to translate complex information into engaging, visually clear materials across digital and print channels. This role combines design expertise with production proficiency, requiring both artistic sensibility and attention to operational detail.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with authors and project leads to understand requirements and develop design concepts
- Import, organize, and integrate text and imagery into cohesive layouts using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite applications
- Design and produce print-ready documents, including reports, forms, and promotional materials
- Create information graphics and visual assets that communicate data and concepts clearly to target audiences
- Apply brand style guides, design templates, and established visual standards consistently across all deliverables
- Refine layouts and design elements to ensure visual hierarchy, readability, and aesthetic appeal
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, layout, and multi-media work
- Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual composition
- Ability to interpret style guides and brand standards and apply them effectively
- Detail-oriented approach with strong quality control standards
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience designing for both digital and print mediums
