About the Role
We are seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide support and assistance to students in a school setting. The role involves ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our students throughout their day. This is a full-time position located in Ashburn, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Assist students with personal care needs
- Ensure a safe environment for all students
- Support students during daily activities and transitions
- Monitor student behavior and report any concerns to supervisors
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role (experience may be considered on an individual basis)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patient and empathetic demeanor towards students with diverse needs
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Proficient in basic computer skills for record-keeping purposes
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally, and assist with moving students as needed
