Critical Nurse Staffing is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join their team in Moab, Grand County, providing essential in‑home support to clients who need compassionate, hands‑on care.
About the Role
This full‑time position offers both full‑ and part‑time schedules, with shifts typically running from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. The role pays between $20.00 and $22.00 per hour, depending on experience, and is based in Moab, Utah. As a PCA you will work directly with clients in their residences, helping them maintain dignity and independence while delivering personalized assistance.
What You'll Do
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Prepare meals, manage medication reminders, and perform light housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe living environment.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in condition to supervising nursing staff or family members.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversation and meaningful activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and adhere to all agency policies and state regulations.
What We're Looking For
- Current certification as a Personal Care Assistant or equivalent training; willingness to obtain required credentials if needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others, especially veterans and seniors.
- Ability to follow care plans precisely while adapting to individual client preferences.
- Reliable transportation to travel to clients’ homes within the Moab area.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic record keeping and communication.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
