About the Role

As a Patient Access Representative II at our clinic, you'll manage the patient intake workflow from arrival through departure. Your daily responsibilities include greeting patients, processing registrations, collecting necessary information, verifying insurance coverage, and handling payment transactions. You'll coordinate appointment scheduling, follow up on referrals, and manage authorization requests while maintaining accurate records and adhering to healthcare compliance standards.

What You'll Do

• Check patients in and out of the clinic using our scheduling system
• Verify insurance information and eligibility before appointments
• Collect and process patient payments, copays, and outstanding balances
• Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's booking calendar
• Process referrals and authorization requests from other healthcare providers
• Answer phones professionally and route calls appropriately
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations
• Communicate with patients and clinical staff to resolve scheduling conflicts

What We're Looking For

• Customer service experience in a healthcare or professional setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office
• Attention to detail and accuracy with data entry and patient information
• Knowledge of insurance verification and coding terminology is helpful
• Reliable transportation to our Bryan clinic location
