About This Position

This is a fixed-term opportunity to support pastoral care for Whitecliffe's growing international student community. The role involves working alongside our existing Pastoral Care Consultant to ensure every student—domestic or international—has the right support at the right time throughout their studies.

What You'll Do

• Provide emotional and psychological support to students, addressing any personal issues that may affect their academic performance and well-being.
• Develop and implement pastoral care programs tailored to meet the needs of international students.
• Collaborate with faculty members, student advisors, and other staff to create a supportive environment for all students.
• Conduct regular check-ins and follow-ups with students to ensure their needs are being met.
• Support students through challenging times, including academic stress, homesickness, and cultural adjustment.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in pastoral care, counseling, or a related field is required.
• Experience working with international students is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly are essential.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for this role.
