The Opportunity

The Pennsylvania State University's Housing and Food Services department is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part Time Mailroom Support professional for our Harrisburg location. In this role, you'll manage the flow of mail and packages across the campus, supporting faculty, staff, and students while maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely distribution. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Sort, organize, and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate campus departments and recipients
• Maintain detailed logs and tracking systems for packages and correspondence
• Operate mailroom equipment including scales, label makers, and postal machines
• Prepare outgoing mail for shipment, including proper addressing and postage
• Monitor inventory of mailroom supplies and coordinate reordering as needed
• Assist with special mail handling requests and ensure confidentiality of sensitive materials
• Collaborate with department staff to troubleshoot delivery issues and resolve discrepancies
