Role Overview
As an Associate Director, Paid Social at DEPT®, you'll lead end-to-end paid social strategies for enterprise clients, combining hands-on platform expertise with team leadership. You'll manage sophisticated B2B campaigns across complex accounts while building and mentoring specialist teams. Your role balances strategic vision with operational execution—driving measurable business outcomes for brands including Google, KFC, Philips, Audi, Twitch, Patagonia, and eBay.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute paid social strategies across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit, Snap, and Pinterest for multichannel, complex client accounts
- Serve as primary strategist for enterprise accounts, aligning tactics with client objectives, attribution models, and budget parameters
- Own the paid social component of client roadmaps, balancing strategic priorities with performance goals and creative testing initiatives
- Oversee budgets and profitability; monitor KPI performance; forecast results; and recommend strategic adjustments to maximise business impact
- Establish and enforce paid social processes, standards, and tools (Asana, Qontrol, platform QA protocols) across teams
- Partner with Client Partners and execution teams to align strategies, review deliverables, and provide strategic input for client presentations
- Act as primary escalation point for paid social matters, proactively managing performance challenges and team coordination
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams; oversee onboarding; coach managers; and foster inclusive, collaborative team environments
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on paid social advertising experience
- Minimum 3 years in client-facing strategic advisor roles
- Proven B2B marketing and paid social experience
- Track record managing paid social programs for enterprise-level accounts
- Deep proficiency with Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Reddit, and analytics platforms
- Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret data and translate insights into clear recommendations
- Leadership experience managing, developing, and coaching team members
- Excellent communication skills; ability to influence clients and internal partners
- Demonstrated capability to build collaborative, inclusive, high-performing team cultures
- Ability to develop integrated paid social strategies aligned with client business objectives
- Strong problem-solving and adaptability in navigating evolving platforms and market conditions
