About the Role
Cognizant is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Migration Engineer with strong expertise in VMware infrastructure and AWS cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will lead and execute large-scale migration initiatives from on-premises VMware environments to AWS. Responsibilities include assessing existing infrastructure, planning and executing migrations, building AWS environments, and automating deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing and analyzing existing on-premises VMware infrastructure for migration readiness
- Planning and executing large-scale VMWare to AWS migrations
- Building and configuring AWS environments that meet business requirements
- Automating deployment processes to ensure efficient and scalable cloud operations
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and resolve migration challenges
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in VMWare infrastructure and AWS cloud technologies
- Proven track record in leading large-scale migration projects from on-premises to the cloud
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, and compliance
- Familiarity with automation tools and DevOps practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Experience in migrating complex applications and databases to AWS environments
