Bibb County Hospital & Nursing Home is hiring a detail-oriented Nursing Home and Hospital Biller to join our Business Office team in Centreville, Bibb County. This is a full-time position responsible for managing patient billing operations and ensuring accurate claims processing.

About the Role

As a Nursing Home and Hospital Biller at our Centreville facility, you'll play a critical role in the financial operations of our healthcare services. Your work ensures that patient billing is processed correctly and that claims reach payers promptly, supporting the organization's ability to deliver quality care to our community.

What You'll Do

• Process and submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance carriers with accuracy and timeliness
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to service delivery
• Review billing records and medical documentation to ensure proper coding and claim accuracy
• Track claim status and follow up on unpaid or denied claims with insurance companies
• Resolve patient billing inquiries and work with patients to address billing concerns
• Maintain organized billing records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Prepare reports on billing activity and claim resolution for management review
• Stay current with Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer billing requirements and policy changes

What We're Looking For

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple billing tasks accurately
• Knowledge of medical billing processes and healthcare insurance requirements
• Proficiency with medical billing software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, providers, and insurance representatives
• Ability to work independently and meet consistent deadlines in a busy office environment
• Experience in healthcare billing or a healthcare office setting preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
