Lincoln Parish School District seeks a dedicated Full-Time Non-Faculty Coach for Boys Soccer at Ruston High School, starting August 10, 2026. This is your opportunity to lead and develop student-athletes while making a meaningful impact in our community.
About the Role
As a Non-Faculty Coach for Boys Soccer, you will oversee all aspects of the varsity or junior varsity boys soccer program, including training, strategy, competition, and athlete development. This position requires energy, tactical expertise, and a genuine commitment to building both competitive excellence and student character both on and off the field.
What You'll Do
- Design and lead conditioning, skill-development, and tactical training sessions
- Prepare game plans and direct team performance during matches
- Recruit, evaluate, and mentor student-athletes throughout the season
- Maintain equipment, facilities, and records in accordance with district standards
- Attend coaching clinics and stay current with soccer advancement and best practices
- Support student-athlete academic success and enforce discipline and sportsmanship standards
- Communicate regularly with parents, administrators, and athletic department staff
- Coordinate travel logistics for games and tournaments
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience playing or coaching boys soccer at the high school level or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of soccer rules, tactics, formations, and conditioning methods
- Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with school administration and athletic staff
- Commitment to youth development, safety, and positive role modeling
- Valid driver's license; background check and coaching certification requirements per Louisiana Department of Education
- Flexibility to work extended hours during practice, games, and tournament schedules
