Looking to make a real difference in your community while earning a living behind the wheel? Silver Ride is hiring a full-time PACE Driver in the Fort Lewis and Salem area of Roanoke, VA to safely transport seniors and individuals with mobility needs.
About the Role
As a Roanoke, VA InnoVage PACE Driver with Silver Ride, you'll be the friendly, dependable presence that helps clients reach the destinations that matter most. This on-site role serves the Fort Lewis and Salem communities, providing assisted, door-to-door transportation for older adults and people living with disabilities. If you take pride in patient, compassionate service and value being part of someone's day-to-day independence, this position was made for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, courteous transportation for PACE program participants throughout the Roanoke, VA area, including Fort Lewis and Salem.
- Assist riders with mobility challenges in and out of the vehicle with care and respect.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and scheduled routes to ensure timely arrivals.
- Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and in good operating condition.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, clients, and care coordinators throughout each shift.
Qualifications
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- A genuine commitment to serving seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- Strong attention to safety and dependable punctuality.
- Patience, warmth, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Availability for a full-time schedule based in Fort Lewis and Salem.
