Position Summary
As a Hornets Hoops Coach, you'll serve as an essential part of our basketball camps and clinics. Under the direction of the Hornets Hoops Director, you'll provide hands-on instruction in basketball fundamentals to campers of varying abilities. This part-time role offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in young athletes' development while working in a professional sports environment.
What You'll Do
- Teach basketball fundamentals including shooting, dribbling, passing, and defensive techniques
- Lead coaching stations and conduct skill-building drills during camps and clinics
- Provide constructive feedback and individualized instruction to develop player abilities
- Work collaboratively with the Hornets Hoops Director and coaching staff
- Create an inclusive, positive environment that encourages player growth and confidence
What We're Looking For
- Solid understanding of basketball fundamentals and coaching methods
- Ability to teach and communicate effectively with youth athletes of different skill levels
- Prior coaching or youth instruction experience valued
- Genuine enthusiasm for basketball and youth development
