About the Role
Kindred Hospital Northland, our 50-bed long-term acute care facility in Kansas City, Jackson County, serves patients requiring extended recovery and specialized nursing support. As a full-time New Graduate RN on the night shift, you'll be part of a dedicated team providing 24/7 clinical care. Our specialized six-bed high observation unit allows us to focus on patients needing extra monitoring and attention, and you'll work collaboratively with our attending physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
What You'll Do
- Deliver direct patient care to acutely ill patients in a long-term care setting, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation
- Administer medications and coordinate patient treatments under physician direction
- Monitor vital signs and patient progress, reporting changes to the clinical team promptly
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery and wellness goals
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with care protocols
What We're Looking For
- Current RN license in Missouri or eligible to obtain licensure
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN or ADN)
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively on night shifts and adapt to a long-term acute care environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and professional growth
- Willingness to learn and collaborate with experienced clinical staff
