About the Role
As a New Business Sales Representative with Scholastic, you will champion our Book Fair programs by connecting with schools and community organizations that have not yet partnered with us. Based out of the Oceanside, San Diego County area, this position lets you work from home while serving as the welcoming first voice that introduces educators and school leaders to resources designed to nurture literacy and a lifelong love of reading.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and reach out to prospective schools, districts, and organizations across San Diego County to grow participation in Scholastic Book Fair programs.
- Serve as the initial point of contact, building rapport with teachers, administrators, and decision-makers.
- Clearly communicate how our literacy programs support student learning and reading development.
- Manage a pipeline of new accounts from first conversation through enrollment.
- Represent the Scholastic brand with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to education.

- A self-motivated, results-driven approach to generating new business.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, whether by phone, email, or in person.
- Comfort working independently from a home office while staying organized and accountable.
- A passion for education, literacy, and helping schools build stronger readers.
- Ability to serve schools and organizations within the Oceanside and San Diego County region.
