Position Summary

The Metrology Team Manager at Owen Mumford Ltd will lead and manage the day-to-day operations and strategic development of the Metrology function. The role ensures the timely and effective delivery of metrology services across the business while leading, performing, developing, and resource management.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Metrology Team to ensure efficient operation and service delivery
• Develop and implement strategic plans for the Metrology function
• Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations
• Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and validation of metrology equipment
• Support cross-functional teams in resolving measurement issues and improving processes
• Evaluate performance metrics to drive continuous improvement

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience as a Metrology Team Manager or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of metrology principles and practices
• Strong leadership, management, and team-building skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
