About the Role
As a Medical Science Liaison focused on IgG4-related rare disease, you will serve as a trusted scientific resource for physicians, researchers, and other key healthcare stakeholders throughout the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Delaware region. Working within Amgen's Medical Affairs organization, you will build peer-level relationships grounded in deep therapeutic expertise, ensuring the medical community has accurate, current, and balanced clinical information.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage healthcare professionals across the DC, MD, and DE territory with evidence-based scientific exchange on IgG4-related rare disease.
- Cultivate and maintain enduring relationships with thought leaders, treating physicians, and academic specialists.
- Communicate emerging clinical and scientific data clearly, accurately, and in a fair, balanced manner.
- Gather field-based medical insights and relay them to internal Medical Affairs teams to inform strategy.
- Support educational initiatives, investigator interactions, and the responsible advancement of rare disease care.
Qualifications
- Advanced scientific or clinical expertise relevant to rare disease and the IgG4 therapeutic area.
- Strong ability to interpret, synthesize, and present complex medical literature to specialist audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for peer-to-peer scientific dialogue.
