Medical Assistant Instructor – Part-Time

Unitek Learning is hiring a Medical Assistant Instructor for our South San Francisco, CA campus. This is a part-time position where you'll shape the careers of aspiring healthcare professionals through hands-on education and mentorship.

The Opportunity

Healthcare facilities depend on well-trained medical assistants to deliver quality patient care. As an instructor at Unitek Learning, you'll teach the clinical skills, knowledge, and professional standards that prepare students to enter the workforce confident and competent. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Teach medical assistant curriculum covering clinical procedures, patient care, medical terminology, and healthcare regulations
• Facilitate hands-on lab and practical training sessions, guiding students through proper clinical techniques and safety protocols
• Develop and deliver engaging lessons using a mix of lectures, demonstrations, and interactive activities
• Evaluate student performance through exams, skill assessments, and practical demonstrations
• Maintain detailed records of attendance, grades, and student progress
• Collaborate with program coordinators and fellow instructors to ensure curriculum consistency and program quality
• Provide mentorship and support to help students succeed in their studies and professional development

Who We're Looking For

• Current certification or license as a Medical Assistant (RMA, CMA, or equivalent state credential)
• Minimum of two years of hands-on medical assisting or clinical healthcare experience
• Proven ability to teach adult learners and communicate complex medical concepts clearly
• Strong foundation in clinical procedures, patient safety, and medical best practices
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Current CPR and BLS certification (or willingness to obtain certification)
• Professional demeanor and commitment to student success
