Mechanical Field Engineer, Bechtel, Brownsville, Texas - Full Time, No Remote
Position Summary
Bechtel is seeking a Mechanical Field Engineer to join our team in supporting the Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas. This role will be integral in ensuring the successful execution of engineering tasks and field support for this significant infrastructure project aimed at providing lower carbon intensive energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems on-site.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve issues and ensure project timelines are met.
- Prepare and review technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform quality checks on installed equipment and systems to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a field environment.
- Familiarity with LNG facilities and processes is advantageous.
- Strong technical skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
