What This Role Involves

This position is essential to the continuous operations of our client services at YUGM. The role involves cooking meals for guests and clients, mentoring work therapy clients, and encouraging our guests as we minister lovingly through food and relationships.

Your Responsibilities

• Cooking a variety of meals in a fast-paced environment to meet the dietary needs and preferences of our guests and clients
• Mentoring work therapy clients, providing guidance and support for their personal and professional development
• Encouraging and building relationships with guests through compassionate care and interaction
• Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
• Participating in team meetings and other community events as required

Requirements

• Prior experience in cooking and food preparation, preferably in a non-profit or mission setting
• A passion for serving others and a commitment to the mission of YUGM
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with guests and clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic kitchen safety training preferred but not required
