Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Morristown, TN. This role involves operating machines and production equipment safely within the manufacturing environment with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure materials are accurately identified, stored, and distributed according to company procedures.
• Operate machinery and equipment for material handling tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and material usage.
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of production lines as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with company policies.

What We're Looking For

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for those who have completed vocational training in manufacturing or related fields.
• Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, with occasional heavier lifting required.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and management.
