About the Role

As a Maryland State Inspector and Service Technician at Hagerstown Ford, you will perform official Maryland vehicle safety inspections while carrying out routine diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs across a wide range of Ford and other makes. This is an on-site, full-time position based at our updated facility in the heart of the Four State Area, working alongside a respected team of automotive professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough Maryland state safety inspections in accordance with current state regulations.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues accurately and efficiently.
• Complete scheduled maintenance, repairs, and component replacements to manufacturer standards.
• Document inspection results and service work clearly for customers and records.
• Communicate findings and recommended repairs to service advisors and customers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all shop safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Maryland State Inspector license (required).
• Proven experience as an automotive service technician or mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service information.
• A valid driver’s license and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a busy dealership environment.
