About the Role

In this position, you'll develop and execute market strategies to expand Corning's business within federal government agencies and contractors. You'll identify emerging opportunities in the public sector, build strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth across key federal markets. This role combines business development, government relations, and client relationship management to position our solutions with decision-makers in Washington and across federal procurement channels.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities within federal government agencies, departments, and prime contractors
  • Develop targeted market entry and growth strategies for assigned federal sectors and geographies
  • Build and maintain relationships with federal procurement officers, contract administrators, and technical decision-makers
  • Support proposal development and government contract responses with market insights and competitive analysis
  • Monitor federal spending trends, regulatory changes, and procurement patterns relevant to our product lines
  • Collaborate with sales teams to position Corning's solutions to federal clients
  • Track market performance, competitor activity, and lead conversion metrics

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in federal government sales, business development, or public sector marketing
  • Understanding of federal procurement processes, contracting regulations, and government buying cycles
  • Strong business development and relationship-building skills
  • Proven ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable strategy
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, government, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and manage multiple stakeholder relationships
