About the Role

You'll take the helm of product development and strategy for Nelnet Business Services, delivering technology solutions to higher education institutions, K-12 schools, churches, and the students and families they serve. This director-level position requires both big-picture strategic thinking and deep involvement in product execution.

What You'll Do

• Build and execute product strategy aligned with market opportunities and customer needs
• Lead product management and technical teams through conception, development, and launch
• Collaborate with sales, customer success, operations, and executive leadership to drive business outcomes
• Gather and synthesize customer feedback and market intelligence to guide product decisions
• Own product performance—define KPIs, measure results, and iterate based on outcomes
• Cultivate relationships with institutional partners and key stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of product management experience with 3+ years in a leadership role
• Proven ability to build, ship, and scale successful products
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders across an organization
• Strong understanding of SaaS platforms, software business models, or technology-enabled services
• Excellent strategic and analytical thinking paired with hands-on execution
• Interest in education technology, financial services, or mission-driven solutions is a plus
