Manager Network Operations – Hawaii – Public Sector

Lead critical network infrastructure as a Manager of Network Operations at Lumen, serving Hawaii's public sector from Wake Island, Honolulu. Core Duties

• Oversee daily network operations, performance monitoring, and incident response
• Lead and develop network operations teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with public sector security standards and government requirements
• Plan network capacity, upgrades, and optimizations to meet evolving public sector demands
• Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders
• Implement procedures and best practices to maximize uptime and minimize service disruptions
• Analyze network metrics, identify operational challenges, and recommend solutions

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network operations, with 2+ years in a management or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, and telecommunications systems
• Experience managing teams and developing staff in technical environments
• Familiarity with public sector networking, government security standards, or compliance frameworks
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with network monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and operational dashboards
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
