Healthcare Claims Testing Manager

Cognizant is hiring a Healthcare Claims Testing Manager in Providence, Rhode Island to lead quality assurance and testing strategy for claims processing systems that directly impact healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.

About the Role

In this position, you will direct end-to-end testing initiatives for healthcare claims processing platforms and proof-of-concept implementations. You'll drive testing strategy, manage quality assurance across multiple workstreams, and ensure robust validation of claims workflows from submission through adjudication. This role requires hands-on leadership of technical testing efforts while maintaining accountability for delivery timelines, defect resolution, and quality metrics that support mission-critical healthcare operations.

What You'll Do

• Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies for claims processing systems, including functional, regression, performance, and integration testing
• Build and mentor QA teams or coordinate with test resources to deliver high-quality validation across project phases
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios aligned with healthcare compliance requirements and business objectives
• Collaborate with clinical, billing, and operations stakeholders to understand requirements and validate that systems meet expected claims workflows
• Identify, document, and track defects; coordinate resolution with development and product teams
• Monitor testing progress, quality metrics, and risk indicators; report status and recommendations to leadership
• Ensure adherence to healthcare data security and regulatory standards throughout testing cycles

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of QA, testing, or quality assurance leadership in healthcare or related regulated industries
• Proven experience testing claims processing, billing systems, or similar healthcare workflows
• Strong knowledge of healthcare terminology, claims adjudication processes, and regulatory compliance considerations
• Experience leading test teams, mentoring QA professionals, or managing testing workstreams
• Proficiency with test case design, defect tracking, and quality metrics
• Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively with clinical, technical, and business stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
