About the Role

The Manager of Government Compliance & Authorization will lead the strategy, implementation, and maintenance of Amwell’s federal and state authorization programs. The role involves achieving and sustaining FedRAMP High authorization while also aligning with CMMC (Level 2/3), CMS MARS-E, and StateRAMP requirements. This leader will mature Amwell's government compliance program, oversee the authorization process, define resources, and hire staff to support these initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Led strategy, implementation, and maintenance of federal and state authorization programs
• Achieved and sustained FedRAMP High authorization
• Architected internal systems for CMMC (Level 2/3), CMS MARS-E, and StateRAMP compliance
• Matured Amwell’s government compliance program
• Oversaw the authorization process
• Led efforts to define resources and hire staff to support these initiatives

Requirements

• Experience in federal and state authorization programs, including FedRAMP High, CMMC (Level 2/3), CMS MARS-E, and StateRAMP requirements
• Proven track record of leading compliance teams and managing complex projects
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance frameworks
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience in hiring and managing staff for compliance programs
• Ability to work remotely and collaborate across different time zones
