POWERX seeks a full-time Field Service Technician (NETA 2) in Seattle, Washington to conduct electrical system testing, perform acceptance and maintenance inspections, and support the delivery of reliable power solutions to our clients across the region.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented technician to join our field operations team. This position involves hands-on electrical testing work, data collection on power systems, and collaboration with senior technical staff to ensure systems meet performance and safety standards. You'll develop practical expertise in electrical measurements, equipment testing procedures, and industry compliance while working toward advancement in the power services field.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct acceptance and maintenance electrical testing on power systems with guidance from supervisory staff
  • Perform basic electrical measurements and record data accurately for documentation
  • Verify de-energized, locked out, and tagged out equipment prior to testing activities
  • Set up, configure, and remove test equipment for various field applications
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting test results, findings, and compliance status
  • Co-lead assigned projects and share responsibilities with lead technicians
  • Maintain test equipment and work areas in safe, clean, functional condition
  • Support organizational needs through additional tasks and changing priorities

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two or more years of relevant field service, electrical testing, or power systems experience
  • NETA Level 2 certification (preferred; certification incentives available)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation; willingness to travel up to 50 percent of the time
  • Working knowledge of electrical theory and its practical applications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication for report preparation and client interaction
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail
  • Physical capability to lift 50 pounds regularly, work in confined spaces, climb, and wear required PPE including arc-flash suits, hard hats, safety glasses, hearing and respiratory protection, and steel-toed boots
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime as needed
  • Successful background check, motor vehicle record review, and pre-employment drug screening
  • Additional certifications a plus: OSHA 30-Hour, MSHA, NFPA 70E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED, or Power Database training
