About the Role
You'll lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and systems for a newly launched AI project. This is a greenfield opportunity—meaning you'll architect solutions without legacy constraints, making core technical decisions that shape the product's foundation. The initial two-year contract period transitions to permanent full-time employment upon successful completion.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems
- Develop and optimize data pipelines for training, validation, and production environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver AI solutions
- Build scalable systems that integrate machine learning capabilities into production applications
- Conduct research and testing to identify and implement emerging ML techniques and frameworks
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in machine learning engineering, deep learning, or applied AI
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or similar ML frameworks
- Experience building and deploying ML models in production environments
- Solid understanding of data engineering, feature engineering, and model evaluation
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity on greenfield projects
- US citizen or permanent resident (Green Card holder)
- Able to work on-site Monday–Thursday in Irvine, California, with remote work on Fridays
