About the Role
This full-time, temporary position places a skilled and knowledgeable teacher at the heart of a third-grade classroom during a defined coverage period. Reporting to the Principal within the Primary department, you will keep learning moving forward by maintaining curriculum continuity and providing thoughtful, consistent instruction while serving as the classroom's leading educator.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily instruction for a Grade 3 class, following the established curriculum and pacing.
- Foster a welcoming, well-managed, and supportive classroom environment for every student.
- Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons that meet a range of learning needs.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive, timely feedback.
- Communicate and collaborate with colleagues, families, and the school principal.
- Uphold the routines, standards, and community expectations of Cunniff Elementary School.
Qualifications
- Highly qualified and knowledgeable in elementary education, with strengths suited to Grade 3.
- Appropriate Massachusetts teaching credentials for an elementary classroom.
