Tucker Freight Lines is seeking a Local CDL‑A Truck Driver to join its team in Meridianville, Madison County.

About the Role

This full‑time position involves operating flatbed equipment on regional routes, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining the highest safety standards. Compensation averages between $1,200 and $1,650 weekly, with a base rate of $25 per hour plus a $2 per hour safety and service bonus for drivers who uphold rigorous professional standards. A referral bonus is also available, and drivers return home each night.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate flatbed trucks on local and regional hauls
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the tractor, trailer, and cargo securement
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment and proper securement methods
• Maintain accurate logs and comply with DOT hours‑of‑service regulations
• Communicate regularly with dispatch to coordinate pickups and deliveries
• Keep equipment clean and report maintenance needs promptly

What We're Looking For

• Valid CDL‑A license with a clean driving record
• Experience operating flatbed trailers
• Ability to secure various types of cargo using straps, chains, and tarps
• Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
• Good communication skills and a professional demeanor
• Willingness to be home each night as part of a local schedule
